“All that we achieve and all that we fail to achieve is the direct result of our own thoughts” --James Allen (As a man thinketh)
Who you are and what you do as an individual is determined by the mind -the most essential feature of a human being.
You were born with a "neutral" mind -neither positive nor negative. When you were a little child, your mind was shaped by the surrounding environment -thoughts, emotions, and beliefs of your parents, relatives, neighbors... And when growing up, you also develop your mind by what you place into it --most of the time, unconsciously.
If you are constantly depositing negative information into your mind, negative thoughts and eventually negative actions will be imminent. When your mind is always negative and sluggish, it's almost guaranteed you won't accomplish anything worthwhile in life. Looking at the lives of the most villainous people in the world would affirm that they continually filled their minds with detrimental thoughts.
On the other hand, if you feed your mind with positive, uplifting, stimulating knowledge on a regular basis, this results in positive, uplifting, creative thoughts and actions, and ultimately you can achieve all you ever dream of achieving. Learning about the exceptionally successful people would reveal that they spent a great deal of time and enormous effort to work on strengthening their minds.
Despite this inspiring fact, it's unthinkable that not many people in the world today really care what gets into their minds!
If you really want to fill yourself with creative thoughts, it is pertinent to always get the right kind of information into your mind. And the most common way to do this is by reading the right kinds of books.
Unfortunately we're living in a busy world today, always running around trying to finish this, that, plus a thousand other "deadlines"... The demand on time is so great that not many people still have time to read books frequently, especially after graduating from college.
People mostly just have time to read the newspapers and magazines. And guess what? Most newspapers only focus on delivering bad news that further escalate your negative state of mind.
If you want to really get positive and helpful knowledge, you need to peruse books that contain positive and helpful information.
Thankfully with the emergence and popularity of audio books, you can feed the right information into your mind without having to "find time" to sit down and open a printed book to read.
Because it's so easy and convenient to listen to instead of read books, you can accumulate an enormous amount of information within a short period of time.
You can enjoy the benefits of audio books while jogging, watering the plants, cleaning the kitchen, commuting to and from your work, etc...
If you don't know which audio books to start with, here are 10 excellent audio recordings that will help to strenghthen your mind.
